The mission of the Rural Strong Network is to strengthen our communities, advance democratic values and make government work. We strive to enhance the lives of rural Americans by building a national brand and framework that allows those who share democratic values to be seen and to stand up for our communities.
Rural Americans have a voice–and it’s time for us to be heard.
Polarizing partisan politics has cost our communities too much over the past 20 years. The Rural Strong Network creates a space to engage people on what it means to help our communities thrive. We lift-up information and tools to bring people together, increase investments and access to resources for our communities that create good paying jobs, access to education, health care, childcare and opportunities that will make positive change.
We are dedicated to helping those who will make sure rural people have a seat at the tables of power and are committed to making government work for all of us. We support people who will hold accountable those who would stand in the way of our opportunities to have healthy and happy families and communities.

The Rural Strong Store is up and running. While many of our communities are being overwhelmed with Trump flags, hats and signs, many rural people don’t feel comfortable putting up a Democratic yard sign. We are building the Rural Strong brand for rural Americans to start a different conversation with friends and neighbors about what it means to stand up for our communities and make government work.
We have what you need to show the world that you’re Rural Strong: shirts, bumper stickers, yard signs and more. Every product is proudly made in the United States with union labor and carbon neutral manufacturing. We’re adding new products all the time, so check back often.
We are also working to get donations and support to be able to get the Rural Strong branding donated to rural people and organizations free because we know cost is an issue. Please contact us if you know donors who would be willing to help provide signs/bumper stickers for free to those who sign up or if your organization would like to buy wholesale.

Our 2024 Vision
As we look ahead to 2024, we’re dedicated to grassroots empowerment and narrative change to empower rural people. Through the Rural Strong network, we aim to counter disinformation narratives and empower local people to reclaim our communities and advocate for widely shared democratic values. Working with existing groups and efforts, we’ll leverage our assets and networks to swiftly deploy resources and support targeted efforts in rural areas to build community leaders, community resources, and ultimately, national power. We believe that the future of rural communities is intertwined with the election of leaders who will advocate for and successfully implement policies that reflect democratic values.
